Upcycling is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.

The example of skis transformed in building material for emergency architecture.

Marco Imperadori is Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano, where he teaches Design and Technological Innovation at the School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering. He is Rector’s Delegate for Far East.

He conducts research and he published books and articles on scientific magazines in Italy and abroad on the themes of sustainability and energy saving.

From 1999 to 2016 he has been member of the architectural practice Atelier2 (Valentina Gallotti and Marco Imperadori Associati) in Milan. He won several awards and mentions both national and international.
