Not sure if this is the right place but wanted to ask a question regarding guest writers. I manage a website for a small group of animal hospitals and we get a lot of requests for guest writers and page links. The few I have added to the blog portion of our website I did for free. More content that I don’t have to create that is in line with our brand and message is a win-win for me. However, I receive a lot of emails from people asking how much we charge for a guest blog. While our owners haven’t expressed a need to charge people to host as long as the content is good, I feel like if people are expecting it, who not capitalize on it?
We have a small non-profit that helps low-income families with high vet bills, provides treatment to Police and Fire dogs, adopts out unwanted pets after being fully vetted, and provides life-saving surgeries for animals left to die in shelters.
I want to start telling people we accept donations to this non-profit in lieu of a payment directly to us but don’t have any idea on how much the donation should actually be.
We get around 8,000-10,000 visitors per month on our website so nothing crazy but a decent amount of people.
Does anyone have any idea how much is the right amount for a guest writer?
Thanks in advance!
