I recently got an awesome opportunity 3 months after graduating college to join a SaaS company as what is essentially creating majority of the marketing slide decks/graphics/blog posts and run the social medias for the parent company and their sister software. This is my first position in a digital marketing position, and my first position in a professional setting in my career field as well, so my experience is very minimal.
One of the things that I find the most difficult in starting this position is that I’m not very familiar with how SaaS marketing works, and what that audience is looking for. My CEO is very clear that he wants to utilize LinkedIn as much as possible since the organic reach is very good – but again, I get easily lost about the approach I should be taking to marketing the software.
So, I guess what I’m trying to get at is, does anyone have an advice for marketing SaaS, like where to start? How can I better utilize LinkedIn as a marketing tool for decks/content? I’m just looking for any advice anyone who is in a similar position might have! Thank you so much in advance!
